John Piper and the Prosperity Gospel

John Piper's views on the Prosperity "Gospel". I think the topic of where our satisfaction lies covers a multitude of sins in the church. The prosperity gospel does not represent our God; not my Jesus.

This is what we need to hear more of today. You might not hear this in your church, you may be listening to a prosperity gospel. Seek Jesus for real, ask Him directly to protect you from falsehood and to give you discernment. False shepherds are lining their pockets and communicating that God will line your pockets if you give to their ministries. Saying buy my books and find the secret to financial success. Surround yourselves with teachers who preach truth like John Piper. Turn off the world's voice that uses His name in vain because this world is temporary. He who sows to the flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. Study the New Testament and study the words of Jesus regarding this present world. What did Jesus say about not building up for yourselves treasures on earth, but build for yourselves treasure in heaven. Christian, don't buy into the prosperity gospel even if countless thousands validate these false teachers using His name. The apostate church is on the rise and the truth is being maligned. Ask the Lord to lead you into good fellowships and be keen on knowing who you can fellowship with. Use the bible as your guide and don't believe anything you hear if it isn't backed up by scripture.
